We realized that while there are plenty of places to find race results, there weren’t many places that captured the spirit of the rivalry. Formula 1 isn’t just about who crossed the line first; it’s about the “Versus.”

Most people see Formula 1 as a technical race between cars. I see it differently. I see it as a 200mph battle of wills.
I’m Devanshu Rai, and I am totally obsessed with speed. To me, the most beautiful part of this sport isn’t the trophy at the end—it’s the raw, aggressive, and unapologetic grit it takes to get there.
Where the Obsession Started
My perspective on F1 changed forever in 2015. I remember the world watching a 17-year-old Max Verstappen step onto the grid. Back then, the critics were calling him “too reckless” or “too young.” They said he didn’t respect the hierarchy of the sport.
But I was hooked. I didn’t see a reckless kid; I saw a driver who brought back the raw, “Versus” spirit that F1 had been missing. Whether he was pulling off impossible overtakes in China or that heart-stopping crash in Monaco, he was always on the limit. He didn’t care about the names on the side of the other cars; he just saw a gap and went for it.
That specific style—the unapologetic, aggressive, “me vs. them” mentality—is exactly what inspired this website.

I built f1versus.com to be a home for fans who feel the same way I do. I wanted a place that celebrates the rivalries and the head-to-head battles that define the sport.
